I know that my many interests and abilities revolve around a constant. The constant is my belief in the Divinity of life. The desire for Divine meaning, purpose, or connection has always been a palpable force within me- as obvious as my heartbeat and breath. Over the years I have expended lots of energy, time and “mind space” looking for the Divine. Searching for proof in the lives of other people, in Nature, animals, plants, books and movies. As I spin around searching, at some point I realize I am spinning around something- and that the point of spin, my center of gravity- is actually the Divine-within me, at the center- just as the Mystics, Seers, and Great Ones through all ages have emphasized.
If I judge the spin, I lose the game, or the play of Life. The center relies on the outer “spin” as much as the outer relies on the center. The combination is the gift called “This Life”, the resulting biography- to be lived and enjoyed. My challenge has been to not judge the center against the spin. Life is to be lived from any perspective or state of mind, no questions asked, no judgment passed by the dynamic, ever evolving Divine web we are all a part of.
